“Everything Is Beautiful”

Everything is beautiful in the world of music, that’s Bobby’s philosophy. Formally a teacher of “Jazz Improvisation” at the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy, Bobby’s life is surrounded by music as is yours.

Just think about it; there is almost no place in your life where music is not. It’s a 100% natural mood-altering experience. It’s exciting, it’s calming, it’s soothing, and it’s relaxing. You awaken to the music on your alarm clock, you listen to music throughout the day on the radio, on TV, and in the movies, then you use music to relax you and put you to sleep at night. Music is so much a part of the fabric of our lives we don’t even notice it-it’s like our second skin.

And there is no better person to share music with you than Bobby Barnes. Whether it’s playing it for you in nightclub, restaurant, convention, wedding birthday party or any special occasion, or teaching music to you or your children.

Bobby often says “We can make a part of our kid’s life better, by making music a better part of our kid’s life.”

From Ray:

First and foremost, I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to leave a message or video about how Uncle Bobby may have touched their lives. He was indeed a special, loving, caring, and kind soul. He was always very generous with his knowledge and time. I was always so proud to introduce people to my dad. Even though you may have met him through me, my Mom or LaSalle, everyone quickly developed their own relationship with him that went way beyond us…we all had to become used to sharing Uncle Bobby with everyone. I think he was just meant to touch the hearts and minds of everyone he encountered. As I’m sure you all have heard him say, “Everything is beautiful.”

I’m not sure what happens on the other side, but, I’m sure he’ll be kickin’ it with Coltrane, Bird, and Miles as well as with Imhotep, Osiris, Isis, Horus, Jesus, Mohammad, Buddha, and Kahlil Gibran. I’m sure he’ll be teaching them some things as he did with so many of us. I won’t keep you with my stories because I’m sure, if you knew him, you have so many stories of your own. However, I do ask that you visit PeacefulWarriorsFoundation.org to see videos and hear some of he and Allan’s last recorded music that I was fortunate enough to record. The breath that he used to play his horn will breathe life into all of us who are fortunate enough to hear it…allowing us all to hear from Bobby forever.

Knowing that he’s in a better place, maybe they will greet him with, “Everything is beautiful!”

Thank you so very much for taking the time to honor Uncle Booby, he will truly be missed!

Bobby has always been a cool guy. He’s always getting on us about practicing and knowing our parts, but we don’t mind. Lol

He shows tough love at times and we think it’s funny and cool. It’s always fun when he’s around and we love him! 😉
